How to tell a friend that can not be the godmother of her baby?

I gave my friend the good news that she was pregnant. Then replies: "OMG!" Mother, I am God and I do not take no for an answer. " I was speechless. It is a good thing, they were on the phone, so no I could see my expression. I like it, but I do not think the unique role God. The fact is that I was the godmother of her daughter. Yes I did. I did not know how to say no to him. So now I feel like the worst person in the world. I do not want to hurt them. But I want someone very responsible for this event. My other friend is throughing shower. How to drop easily? A person whos to say is, "which is really important?" To me it does. Be a sponsor to take very seriously. Most of my family lives far away. I need someone you trust if ever the event.

Say, "I know he wanted to be godmother, but I actually had someone else mind. "She does not love, but it's not your fault. It should be designated himself that way. If it is a true friend will recover. If it be held against you, you do not need someone like that in your life. Do not feel guilty. Some people are too aggressive.

Although women there are many important events in our lives. We celebrate our birthdays, graduations, weddings, etc. Why do we need someone to hold our baby shower? Although I feel that my immediate family is hosting my shower, I wonder what happens to those women who have no one to hold for them, and get your own? What is the problem? What if you're new to the neighborhood or what if the rest of the family or friends are busy? I respect your time and why not (if I was) just told me get organized? We know that most of this work is that of the mother … the cake, the guest list, the registry. So why is it considered bad taste when the mother takes all the work? I thank you all responces curiosity about it. If I leave here this basis that the assistant or someone throw suppposted usually? Does the mother of a lot or not? Any expereince personalized greeting. Am I off base here?

I do not think there is nothing wrong with starting your own shower. However, I think most women than anyone else to do first everyone likes to be pampered. its an entirely about you and your baby. I do not think it should be stressful. I did not do something for my shower, except the registration and was easy and only took about an hour. is only good for being pampered especially in a fragile state!

I just had a baby shower and my former employer (I recently stopped working because of pregnancy. and not come back) gave me a gift card for $ 100 and the host a little shower in the second a good restaurant for me. It's so sweet of her. I wonder if I should get her a small thank you gift pledge my gratitude? Or just send a card or give thanks and be grateful? Thank you!
